We have transported over 300 sighthounds to Greyhound adoption groups and adopters, while traveling to 27 states. GiM is 100% volunteer. We do not charge for transportation. Our funding comes from donations and fundraising.
Greyhounds in Motion also is proud to partner with Galgos del Sol. We place Galgos and Podencos from Spain in US homes.

"Something Special Pet Supplies (and Sit. Stay safe!) was created in 2015 by Sharon Conger (human), Dave (also human), Ajax and Capri (retired racing greyhounds) and Sweetie Pie (a sugar cookie wrapped in a cat suit). Sharon served on the board of directors with Blue Ridge Greyhound Adoption for 3 years where she organized many local monthly meet and greet events, served as an adoption mentor, reviewed adoption applications, wrote blog articles and did the bookkeeping. We are located in lovely northern Virginia.Sharon and Dave are both lifelong animal lovers and want to help promote the best care for them. We believe animals are family members in every sense, beloved and cherished. Our Ajax went to the Rainbow Bridge in 2016, taking a large chunk our our hearts with him. In 2017, we adopted Loki, a stunning black retired racer who keeps us laughing. Our Beloved Capri is 14 years old, becoming frail but very much still Sharon's baby girl.Our mission is to sell only high quality safety products for dogs, with a special focus on greyhounds."
